Online Study with Coursera, Worth A Try

I really enjoy online study, which gives me access to some of the most renown Universities in the world.

A year ago I fell ill and was unable to do much except lay down, during this time I reassessed life, resigned from my career of over 25 years and made a decision to follow my life long passion and enter the world of Art.

This was exciting and daunting at the same time, it had been quite some time since I had taken up any study of any sort, so the idea of going to University was a little overwhelming.  I am a strong believer though, that you can do anything you set your mind too, you can only do your best and what will be, will be.

Upon my slow recovery, I thought it might be wise to do a short course to give myself an indication as to whether I’d be ready to take on a future commitment.   So I took up an online songwriting course, as I love all things creative.  I did rather well, which encouraged me to continue with another online course.

My next course was something a little more challenging, Logic was the topic.  Although my career was in the engineering industry, I did not practice logic in my day-to-day work, however I was familiar with Logic diagram drawings.   So I started and was on track with 80-90% pass rating thus far, to my disappointment my internet provider partway through my course had major connection issues with complete outages for days, this meant I missed some of my deadlines (yes there are deadlines with online study just like the real thing).   I still couldn’t travel at this point so after this repeated issue I decided not to continue on with this course at this time.  I shall however endeavour to complete this course in the future.

At present I am studying a diploma in visual arts, the school break is nearing and I can’t get enough of learning so I’m turning back to online study.  If you’re like me and love to learn there’s plenty of topics too chose from, if you’re interested in taking your study one step further you can pay a small fee and receive a verified certificate for your efforts.
